Egyptian Pillar Bracelet

This is the Egyptian Pillar Bracelet from “Creative Beading” Vol 3 No 2. I only wanted to commit one pack of bicone beads to this project so I made it for my daughter. Since I saw it as a practice piece I didn’t want to sink a lot of time, effort or money in to it. So I skimped on the toggle as well. If I had known ahead of time how pleased I would be with it I would have used one of my sterling silver ones. So then I decided I needed to make one for myself!

I  love the colors but I’m not too keen on the clasp. I need to swap it out for a toggle. Also, I think it would look awesome with copper. I decided I wanted to try something a little different so I made myself another one that I like a lot better.

If you decide to try this at home I made it 20 crystals long. If I do it again I’ll try to find a way to use bead cups to secure it to the link. It will give it a more polished look. This one looks great on!
